Terms of Service
Last updated: 15 July 2026
Short version: Flapp estimates running and cycling technique from a video or photo. There's a free tier and optional paid plans. It's for general guidance and coaching, not medical or professional advice. Paid subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel; you can cancel anytime and keep access until the period ends. Only upload footage you have the right to share.
By using Flapp ("the service"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. Flapp is operated from British Columbia, Canada.
1. What Flapp is
Flapp uses computer-vision pose estimation to measure joint angles and give an automated technique score, findings, and AI-written coaching notes for side-view running and cycling clips or photos. An optional Expert Review adds a manual assessment written by a human reviewer. Flapp is offered with a free tier and optional paid plans.
2. Accounts
- You can use the free tier without an account. Some features and paid plans require you to register with an email and password.
- You're responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use.
- You must give accurate account information and be old enough to form a binding contract where you live (and at least 16 — see the Privacy Policy).
- You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.
3. Your responsibilities
- Only upload footage that you have the right to upload — of yourself, or of someone who has agreed to be filmed and analyzed.
- Don't upload content that is illegal, or that infringes someone else's privacy or rights.
- Don't attempt to overload, attack, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service, or bypass the usage limits.
- You are responsible for how you act on the analysis, including any training decisions.
4. Plans, pricing and billing
Flapp offers a free tier and paid plans. Current plans:
| Plan | Billing |
|---|---|
| Starter (free) | No charge. A small monthly analysis quota. |
| Enthusiast — Monthly | $9 / month, recurring. |
| Enthusiast — Yearly | $59 / year, recurring. |
| Full — Yearly | $80 / year, recurring. |
| Expert Review | $29, one-time (per review). |
Prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD) unless stated otherwise at checkout, and exclude any taxes that may apply. The plans and prices shown at checkout are the ones that apply to your purchase; we may change plans or prices, but a change never affects a period you've already paid for.
Auto-renewal and cancellation
- Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) at the then-current price, until you cancel.
- You can cancel anytime. Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep paid access until the end of the period you've already paid for. We don't provide partial refunds for the unused part of a period except as described below or as required by law.
Refunds
- Subscriptions: if you're not satisfied, contact us within 14 days of your first payment or a renewal and we'll refund that charge, provided you haven't used a substantial part of the plan's quota in that period.
- Expert Review: refundable in full until a reviewer starts your review. Once the review has been started or delivered, it is non-refundable, because the work has been performed.
- These refund terms are in addition to — and do not limit — any rights you have under applicable consumer-protection law.
5. Usage limits
Each plan (including the free tier) limits the number of analyses per period. Free-tier limits are enforced per user; for anonymous visitors this is by IP address. Limits for the free tier may change without notice; limits attached to a paid plan are those described for that plan when you buy it.
6. Availability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", with no guarantee of uptime, accuracy, or that it will keep running. Features may change or be removed, and your in-progress or past analyses are not stored (see the Privacy Policy). If we discontinue a paid plan you're on, we'll refund the unused, prepaid portion.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Flapp and its operator are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from your use of the service or reliance on its output, including indirect or consequential loss. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim (or, if you paid nothing, is limited to CA$50).
8. Consumer rights
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any right or remedy you have under laws that cannot be contractually excluded — including the consumer-protection laws of British Columbia and Canada. Where such a law applies, these terms are read subject to it, and the limitations above apply only to the extent that law allows.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the applicable laws of Canada. You and we submit to the courts of British Columbia, except where mandatory consumer law lets you bring a claim where you live.
10. Changes
We may update these terms as the product evolves. For material changes affecting paid plans, we'll make a reasonable effort to notify account holders. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms. The "last updated" date above reflects the current version.
